The Board of Child Care is a nonprofit, child welfare agency that provides residential group care for children referred by state agencies. We also offer an array of community-based programs to further support children and strengthen families: foster care, therapeutic counseling, adoption information and referral, special education, child care and a car loan program.

As an outreach ministry of the United Methodist Church, we serve more than 1,300 children and families annually in Maryland, West Virginia and the District of Columbia.
