West Virginia University School of Medicine and the Department of Neurology seek a General Neurologist (ranks available: Assistant Professor, Associate Professor, or Professor). The successful candidate will be expected to practice in Summersville, WV.

Duties: The successful candidate will practice in the area of general neurology on primarily an outpatient basis with a smaller degree of inpatient duties. In addition to providing excellent patient care, the candidate will be involved in teaching medical students and residents.

Qualifications: Candidate must have an MD or DO degree or foreign equivalent and be eligible for state medical licensure. Successful candidate must have completed a neurology residency program and be board certified / eligible in neurology. All qualifications must be met by the time of appointment.

Summersville Regional Medical Center is a 101-bed hospital providing a wide range of emergency, medical and surgical services, as well as rehabilitation and extended care. The hospital employs 500 professional staff members. Nicholas County and the Summersville region offer four-season recreation including whitewater rafting, boating, hiking and fishing. The WVU Rockefeller Neuroscience Institute guides a team of 280 dedicated faculty in providing compassionate patient care and advanced medicine through education, research, and outreach in the many diverse communities we serve.
