Some of the things you will do in this position:

-Perform general mechanic maintenance activities in a team atmosphere to meet or exceed Solenis’ safety, environmental and production goals.

-This position keeps the production units and supporting facilities in the utmost reliable working condition.

-The General Mechanic is expected to use good judgment to make choices that will contribute to the overall plant efficiency, objectives and policies.

-Safety and all environmental issues are foremost in the overall consideration in forming these judgments.

-Position may require shift work and working weekends, holidays and occasional overtime.

The expected compensation for this position is $37.66 per hour plus discretionary bonuses.

Qualifications:
 

Experience:

- Individuals must have greater than 5 years’ experience in a maintenance manufacturing environment.
- Certification in welding, machinist, millwright, electrician, pipefitter, boilermaker or operating engineer.
- Preferred not required, emergency response experience.

-High School Diploma or equivalent required.

- GM position will be awarded by seniority unless candidate has specific maintenance skills that meet the minimum requirements for the job.

- The individual must regularly lift and/or move up to 10 pounds; frequently lift and/or move up to 25 pounds; and occasionally lift and/or move up to 50 pounds.
- Specific vision abilities required by this job include close vision, distance vision, color vision, peripheral vision, and depth perception.
