Modjeski and Masters (M&M) is rapidly expanding and looking for entry-level Structural Bridge Design Engineers with 0-4 years' experience to support transportation project pursuits across the U.S. and abroad. As a Structural Bridge Design Engineer, you will work on a variety of challenging and rewarding bridge engineering projects for a myriad of transportation clients. As a member of our team, you'll be immediately responsible for performing engineering tasks under the careful supervision of established and respected professionals. You'll have opportunities to interact directly with clients, becoming a valued partner on a variety of high-impact projects, and apply fresh insights at every stage of a bridge's life cycle. Responsibilities:

  • Review and check standard structural design calculations.
  • Perform structural analysis and design of standard bridge components using analysis software.
  • Develop preliminary details using CAD software and provide information to CAD technicians for development of contract plans.
  • Provide information for design reports.
  • Perform additional duties and responsibilities as assigned, including field inspections and construction service assignments.
  • Communicate effectively in English both orally and in writing.
  • Prepare project-related documents and internal correspondence.
  • Perform and check quantity take-offs from contract plans.
  • Review and check drawings.
  • Use engineering analysis software such as LUSAS, RISA-3D, LEAP Bridge, AutoCAD, MicroStation, AutoCAD, etc.
  • Able to learn and correctly apply relevant design specifications, including: AASHTO, AREMA, AISC, ACI, etc.

Requirements

  • A minimum of a B.S. degree in civil or structural engineering from an ABET accredited college or university.
  • E.I.T preferred but not required.

Salary Range:

  • Salary ranges are subject to change based on geographic location and total years of related experience.
  • For current open Entry Level Engineer, salary range in Colorado is between $69,000 and $80,000
