Nalco Water, an Ecolab Company, seeks an Area Sales Managertojoinour High Purity Water and Process Services group.You'll be responsible for revenue and profit growth of programs and services in targeted accounts in the power, manufacturing, paper, institutional, primary metals and chemical industries. Using a consultative sales approach, you'll build relationships with existing customers by executing system assurance programs that meet their key business needs. With strong account leadership, you'll also convert strategic competitive accounts and sell new technologies to current customers.

What will you do:

  • Work closely with your team on strategic current and prospective customers to help define key business needs, and to recommend continuous improvement and innovation plans that will maintain and grow sales in your assigned area.
  • Develop strong relationships with key stakeholders in the current and
  • prospective customers in your area,including plant or facility executives
  • Work closely with your team on generating and executing sales plans and strategies to close new opportunities in existing customer base, and in major, competitively held accounts, to meet defined area profit increase goals.
  • Provide business and technical support to your Reps in their customer accounts; identifying and resolving customer challenges and escalating as required.
  • Work closely with your team on actively selling and supporting Nalco
  • innovations and technology in their assigned customers to promote long-term
  • business relationships with Nalco
  • Demonstrate strong team leadership by coaching and training other District Reps, championing corporate initiatives, and by planning and leading portions of District Meetings.
  • Assist with the planning and execution of successful customer and prospect Seminars, demonstrating Nalco Water's market leadership within the local geography.
  • Assist the District Manager in the hiring and training of new Sales and Service Representatives

Territory/Location Information:

  • The territory will include PA, MA, ME, RI, CT, DE, and MD
  • up to 50% overnight travel required to support sales territory.
  • If applicable, relocation assistance would be provided for the right candidate.

Minimum Qualifications:

  • Bachelor's Degree
  • 5 years of successful technical sales and sale management experience
  • 3 years of experience in high purity water purification equipment & services (reverse osmosis technology, demineralizers, water softeners, UV systems, filters, etc.)
  • Must have a valid Driver's License and acceptable Motor Vehicle Record
  • No immigration sponsorship offered for this role.

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Bachelor's degree in engineering (Chemical, Mechanical, Industrial), or Life Sciences (Biology, Chemistry, etc.)
  • 10 years of successful technical sales and sales management experience
  • Water treatment or specialty chemical industry experience highly preferred
  • Extensive knowledge of boilers, cooling towers, and wastewater treatment systems highly preferred
  • Sales history of calling on multi-level plant or facilities management, and developing executive-level relationships
