Mead & Hunt, Inc., a nationally recognized professional services consulting firm, has a position open for a construction engineer. Responsibilities include serving as the project engineer/manager on transportation construction engineering and inspection projects in/around the eastern panhandle of West Virgina; overseeing on-site and remote engineering/inspection staff; monitoring construction activities; conducting inspections; performing contract administration tasks; preparing monitoring contractor schedules and budgets and internal department budgets; attending client meetings. Travel to construction sites throughout the state will be required; a valid driver's license is required. Extended hours and overnight stays will be required.

The successful candidate will have all of the following:

  • a bachelor's degree (or higher) in engineering or construction management;
  • at least six years of relevant work experience; and
  • a PE license in any state with ability to obtain in West Virginia within six months of start date.

The ideal candidate will have experience with any/all of the following: transportation construction project management on WVDOH projects; WVDOH standards, specifications, and materiel testing procedures; construction management software (Site Manager or Project Wise); client management.
