About the Role

As a Financial Associate Analyst focused on Warranty and Customer Service, you will support the proper accounting and reporting of returns from warehouse repair centers, warranty and customer service accruals. You will be working closely with the Quality, Supply chain and Customer Service teams. The primary responsibilities include tracking preparing reconciliations and journal entries, supporting reporting and audit requests for warranty reserve calculations and tracking and reporting customer returns,. This position will work with finance and Operations team to achieve the growth and profit objectives for the North America region of the Lifestyle Consumer Audio business. The North America region is headquartered in Northridge, California with annual revenues of over $1 billion.


Your Team

You will report to the Manager of Finance for Lifestyle Consumer Audio for the North America region.


What You Will Do

  • Responsible for reconciliations, journal entries and analysis. Including, but not limited to warranty lag time calculation and analysis, warranty required reserve calculation, customer services expenses accruals and analysis.
  • Ensure proper compliance with accounting standards and support the month end close process.
  • Work closely with Finance Manager to support accounting and audit requirements.
  • Track, report and analyze spending by repair centers.
  • Support refurbishing vs scrapping decision making process and provide spending analysis.
  • Support the procurement process for Warranty and Customer Service vendors by working with the respective departments to project future spend, obtain internal alignment to submit purchase requests.

What You Need

  • Bachelor's degree in Finance, Accounting, Business or Economics.
  • Minimum of 1 year related experience in revenue accounting, trade spending accounting, or operations
  • Accounting skills, including experience with preparing reconciliations, accruals, and journal entries
  • Ability to work with finance and operational teams in a multi-location environment
  • Experienced with advanced ERP systems and Excel (pivot tables, Vlookup)
  • Detail-oriented, curious, and able to work in a fast-paced environment
  • Excellent communication skills, both written and verbal

What is Nice to Have

  • Experience in Consumer Electronics, Consumer Products, or related industries.
  • Proficient in working with SAP/BPC and related systems.

  • Be willing to work 3-5 days a month in an office in Northridge, CA
